Concerning Two Conjectures of Frick and Jafari

Abstract: In 2022, Hamid Reza Daneshpajouh provided some counterexamples to the following conjecture of Florian Frick. �f Conjecture. Let $rgeq3$. Then, every hypergraph $calG$ over the ground set $[n]$ satisfies ${\displaystyle }$ chi left({ m KG}^r ({cal G}_{r-{ m stable}}) ight) geq leftlceil frac{{ m cd}^r ({cal G})}{r-1} ight ceil . ${\displaystyle }$ In this paper, we improve Danashpajouh's results. Also, we provide several counterexamples to the following recent conjecture of Amir Jafari. Conjecture. If $sgeqrgeq2$, then for any hypergraph $calG$ with vertex set $[n]$ we have ${\displaystyle }$ chi left({ m KG}^r ({cal G}_{s-{ m stable}}) ight) geq leftlceil frac{{ m ecd}^s ({cal G})}{r-1} ight ceil .${\displaystyle }$
