Abstract: Let f:Rm+1oRm+2r, where 2r1leqm+1<2r, be a continuous map. Improving a recent result of Frick and Harrison, we show that there are 4 points x0,,x1,,y0,,y1 in Rm, which are distinct if m+1ot=2r1, and satisfy x0ot=x1, y0ot=y1, x0,x1ot=y0,y1 if m+1=2r1, such that the vectors f(x1)f(x0) and f(y1)f(y0) are parallel.
