Suspension homotopy of simply connected 7-manifolds

Abstract: In homotopy category away from $2$, we decompose a simply connected closed $7$-manifold into indecomposable pieces after suspension. As an immediate consequence, this shows certain rigidity property of the manifold. Interesting examples include the respective suspension decompositions of string $7$-manifolds and generalized Aloff-Wallach manifolds.
