Abstract: We establish that the initial value problem for a generalised Burgers equation considered in part I of this paper, is well-posed. We also establish several qualitative properties of solutions to the initial value problem utilised in part I of the paper.
Existence problems for PDEs: global existence, local existence, non-existence (35A01) Uniqueness problems for PDEs: global uniqueness, local uniqueness, non-uniqueness (35A02) Initial value problems for second-order parabolic equations (35K15) Semilinear parabolic equations (35K58)
