Abstract: We study unparametrized conformal circles, or called conformal geodesics, in a pseudo-Riemannian conformal manifold and consider local diffeomorphisms mapping conformal circles to conformal circles. We show that such local diffeomorphisms are conformal transformations. We also study the whole settings to holography version. We characterize that an asymptotically local isometry between Poincar'e-Einstein spaces is a local diffeomorphism mapping asymptotically totally geodesic surfaces to asymptotically totally geodesic surfaces. The proofs need Jacobi fields of conformal circles.
