Abstract: In this paper, we construct a sequence of hyperbolic surfaces with connected geodesic boundary such that the first normalized Steklov eigenvalue tends to infinity. Let be the modulus space of hyperbolic surfaces of genus and connected boundary of length endowed with the Weil-Peterson metric where satisfies certain condition. We prove that as genus , a generic satisfies that where is a positive universal constant.
