Abstract: Let chi1 and chi2 be distinct primitive Dirichlet characters whose moduli are q1 and q2, respectively, and put q:=mlcm[q1,q2]ge3. We show that for some absolute constants C1,C2>0, the L-functions L(s,chi1) and L(s,chi2) do not have the same zeros (counted with multiplicity) in the region ig{s=sigma+itin{mathbb C}:0<sigma<1, T<gamma<T+C_1q^2log Tig} for any real number TgeC2,q2logq.
