Abstract: Let and be distinct primitive Dirichlet characters whose moduli are and , respectively, and put . We show that for some absolute constants , the -functions and do not have the same zeros (counted with multiplicity) in the region ig{s=sigma+itin{mathbb C}:0<sigma<1, T<gamma<T+C_1q^2log Tig} for any real number .
