Abstract: Let K be a p-adic field, and let Kinfty/K be a Galois extension that is almost totally ramified, and whose Galois group is a p-adic Lie group of dimension 1. We prove that Kinfty is not dense in (mathbfBmathrmdR+/operatornameFil2mathbfBmathrmdR+)operatornameGal(overlineK/Kinfty). Moreover, the restriction of heta to the closure of Kinfty is injective, and its image via heta is the set of vectors of widehatKinfty that are C1 with zero derivative for the action of operatornameGal(Kinfty/K). The main ingredient for proving these results is the construction of an explicit lattice of mathcalOKinfty that is commensurable with mathcalOKinftyd=0, where d:mathcalOKinftyoOmegamathcalOKinfty/mathcalOK is the differential.
