Segre embedding and biharmonicity

Abstract: We consider the Segre embedding of the product

m a t h b b C P^{p} i m e s m a t h b b C P^{q}

into

m a t h b b C P^{p + q + p q}

and study the biharmonicity of

M^{p} i m e s m a t h b b C P^{q}

and

M_{1}^{p} i m e s M_{2}^{q}

as submanifolds of

m a t h b b C P^{p + q + p q}

, where

M

and

M_{1}

are Lagrangian submanifolds of

m a t h b b C P^{p}

and

M_{2}

is a Lagrangian submanifold of

m a t h b b C P^{q}

. We find two new large classes of biharmonic submanifolds in complex projective space forms.
