Abstract: We prove the following proposition. Under linear interpolation on a Euclidean n-dimensional ball B, an interpolation projector whose nodes coincide with the vertices of a regular simplex inscribed into the boundary sphere has the minimum C-norm. This minimum norm hetan(B) is equal to maxpsi(an),psi(an+1), where psi(t)=dfrac2sqrtnn+1Bigl(t(n+1t)Bigr)1/2+left|1dfrac2tn+1ight|, 0leqtleqn+1, and an=leftlfloordfracn+12dfracsqrtn+12ightfloor. For any n, sqrtnleqhetan(B)leqsqrtn+1. Moreover, hetan(B) = sqrtn only for n=1 and hetan(B)=sqrtn+1 if and only if sqrtn+1 is an integer.
