Abstract: Let mathbbk be a field, and let Lambda be a (not necessarily finite dimensional) mathbbk-algebra. Let V be a left Lambda-module such that is finite dimensional over mathbbk. Assume further that V has a weak universal deformation ring Rw(Lambda,V), which is a complete Noetherian commutative local mathbbk-algebra with residue field mathbbk. We prove in this note that under certain conditions on the Lambda-module V, that if Rw(Lambda,V) is a quotient of mathbbk[![t]!], then Rw(Lambda,V) is either isomorphic to mathbbk, or mathbbk[![t]!], or to mathbbk[![t]!]/(tN) for some integer Ngeq2.
