Quantum Energies of Interfaces

Abstract: We present a method for computing the one-loop, renormalized quantum energies of symmetrical interfaces of arbitrary dimension and codimension using elementary scattering data. Internal consistency requires finite-energy sum rules relating phase shifts to bound state energies.
