Poset Matrix Structure Via Partial Composition Operations

Abstract: This paper examines the structure of poset matrices by formulating a set of new construction rules for this purpose. In this direction, the technique of partial composition operations will be introduced as the basis for the recursive construction of poset matrices for any given size by extending the combinatorial setting of species of structures to poset matrices. More specifically, three new partial composition operation techniques that apply to poset matrices will be defined as the foundation for this study. Some key structural patterns arising from viewing poset matrices in terms of partial composition operations will be highlighted in the context of the formation of distinct poset matrices. The relevance of this study will set the basis for modeling the operad structure of poset matrices and their algorithmic enumeration.
