Abstract: We introduce the enriched notions of purity depending on the left class of a factorization system on the base of enrichment. The ordinary purity is given by the class of surjective mappings in the category of sets. Under specific assumptions, covering enrichment over quantale-valued metric spaces and quasivarieties, we characterize the -injectivity classes of locally presentable -categories in terms of closure under a class of limits, -filtered colimits, and -pure subobjects.
Chain complexes (category-theoretic aspects), dg categories (18G35) Factorization systems, substructures, quotient structures, congruences, amalgams (18A32) Enriched categories (over closed or monoidal categories) (18D20) Quantales (18F75)
