Abstract: The purpose of this text is: 1) to clarify the foundations of the broad histogram method, stressing the conceptual differences between it and reweighting procedures in general; 2) to propose a very simple microcanonical dynamic rule, yet to be tested by theoretical grounds, which could provide a good improvement to numerical simulations.
