Abstract: In this paper, we investigate simultaneous properties of a convex integrand and its dual . The main results are the following three. (1) For a convex integrand , its dual convex integrand is of class if and only if is a strictly convex integrand. (2) Let be a strictly convex integrand. Then, is stable if and only if its dual convex integrand is stable. (3) Let be a strictly convex integrand. Suppose that is stable. Then, for any , a point is a non-degenerate critical point of with Morse index if and only if its antipodal point is a non-degenerate critical point of the dual convex integrand with Morse index .
