The author gives a short and elementary proof for the following Theorem. The real polynomial \(P(z)=z^ 3+Az^ 2+Bz+C\) is stable (i.e. all zeros of P(z) have negative real parts) if and only if \(A>0,\quad C>0,\quad AB- C>0\) holds.
