Optimization of sliding motions in a discontinuous system
Optimality conditions for problems involving partial differential equations (49K20) Optimality conditions for solutions belonging to restricted classes (Lipschitz controls, bang-bang controls, etc.) (49K30) Control/observation systems governed by partial differential equations (93C20) Stability of control systems (93D99)
The problem of determination of the optimal discontinuity surface in a variable-structure system is considered. Necessary and sufficient conditions of optimality for this surface are obtained and some examples are given.
