After defining a bounded measurable function on the n-dimensional Euclidean space under certain restrictions as a \(L^ p\)-(Fourier) multiplier, the main theorem on a criterion of Marcinkiewicz type is proved after proving some preparatory results. At the end some critical comments are added.
