Abstract: Let p:mathbbComathbbR be a subharmonic, nonharmonic polynomial and au a real parameter. Define , a closed, densely-defined operator on L2(mathbbC). If and au>0, we solve the heat equation (partials+Boxaup)u=0, u(0,z)=f(z), on (0,infty)imesmathbbC. The solution comes via the heat semigroup e−sBoxaup, and we show that u(s,z) is given as integration of the intial condition against a distributional kernel Haup(s,z,w). We prove that Haup is Cinfty off the diagonal (s,z,w):s=0extandz=w and that Haup and its derivatives have exponential decay.
