Abstract: In this paper we prove that the equation , where are given real numbers, is a suitable twice differentiable function, is a real parameter and is continuous, admits an infinite sequence of sign-changing solutions satisfying . The function is required to satisfy for . Our technique explores fixed point arguments applied to suitable integral equations and shooting arguments. Our main result extends earlier ones in the case is in the form for an appropriate constant .
