Abstract: Andruskiewitsch and Schneider classify a large class of pointed Hopf algebras with abelian coradical. The quantum double of each such Hopf algebra is investigated. The quantum doubles of a family of Hopf algebras from the above classification are ribbon Hopf algebras.
