Abstract: In this paper we are interested in spectral decomposition of an unbounded operator with discrete spectrum. We show that if A generates a polynomially bounded n-times integrated group whose spectrum set sigma(A)=ilambdak;kinmathbbZ* is discrete and satisfies sumfrac1|lambdak|elldeltakn<infty (n and ell nonnegative integers), then there exists projectors (Pk)kinmathbbZ* such that sumPkx=x (xinD(An+ell)), where deltak=min(frac|lambdak+1lambdak|2,frac|lambdak1lambdak|2).
