Abstract: We shall make a slight improvement to a result of p-adic logarithms which gives a nontrivial upper bound for the exponent of p dividing the Fermat quotient x^{p-1}-1.

Ziel dieser Note ist eine leichte Verbesserung von Theorem 1 von \textit{Y. Bugeaud} und \textit{M. Laurent} [J. Number Theory 61, No. 2, 311--342 (1996; Zbl 0870.11045)], in dem gezeigt wird, dass die dort auftretenden Konstanten \(\gamma_1,\gamma_2\) durch 1 ersetzt werden können, wodurch sich die Bedingung \(\log A_i\geq(\log p)/D\) erübrigt, wenn man einige Konstanten geeignet modifiziert. Diese neue Version des Bugeaud-Laurentschen Theorem 1 führt zu einer nichttrivialen oberen Abschätzung für den \(p\)-Exponenten von \(x^{p-1}-1\) bei \(x\in\mathbb{Z}\setminus p\,\mathbb{Z}\), nämlich der folgenden: Ist \(p\) eine Primzahl und sind \(x,y\in\mathbb{Z}\setminus p\,\mathbb{Z}\) multiplikativ unabhängig, so gilt \(\nu_p(x^{p-1}-1)\leq283(p-1)(\log xy)(\log y)/(\log p)^2+4\). Dies wird auf Probleme über die Teilersummenfunktion und perfekte Zahlen angewandt.
