Query complexity of sampling and small geometric partitions
From MaRDI portal
Abstract: In this paper we study the following problem: Discrete partitioning problem (DPP): Let denote the -dimensional finite projective space over . For positive integer , let be a partition of such that (1) for all , (partition into product sets), (2) for all , there is a -dimensional subspace such that . What is the minimum value of as a function of ? We will be mainly interested in the case .
