Tldr We propose a quantum lattice Boltzmann method (QLBM) based on the rotation collision operator that replaces non-unitary BGK relaxation with unitary rotations in the amplitude space of the distribution function. The gate-level quantum circuits are constructed for D2Q5 and D2Q9 models, enabling the simulation of convection-diffusion equations and incompressible Navier--Stokes equations on a quantum computer.
