In this paper the biregular classification of smooth rational surfaces with sectional genus 6 are carried out. See also the author's article ''Classification of algebraic non-ruled surfaces with sectional genus less than or equal to six'', Nagoya Math. J. 100, 1-9 (1985). The proof is based on the adjunction map studied by \textit{A. J. Sommese}, Duke Math. J. 46, 377-401 (1979; Zbl 0415.14019)] and \textit{A. Van de Ven}, ibid. 46, 403-407 (1979; Zbl 0458.14003). Classically this problems was considered by Del Pezzo, Castelnuovo and L. Roth, etc. For related topics we refer to \textit{L. Ein}, J. Reine Angew. Math. 351, 1-11 (1984; Zbl 0529.14020), \textit{P.
