For a locally compact group \(G\) with group algebra \(L^1(G)\) and algebra of (locally) essentially bounded measurable functions \(L^\infty (G)\) (both with respect to left Haar measure), \textit{G. Crombez} and \textit{W. Govaerts} [Ann. Inst. Fourier 34, No. 2, 137--154 (1984; Zbl 0518.42009)] introduced the notion of uniformly measurable function in \(L^\infty (G)\) and proved that such a function induces a completely continuous convolution operator from \(L^1(G)\) to \(L^\infty (G)\). The current paper generalizes this to foundation semigroups and studies completely continuous linear maps on foundation semigroup algebras commuting with translations.
