This article introduces serial dictatorship mechanisms with individual reservation prices for the allocation of indivisible objects. The authors begin with an introduction to markets in which the resources to be allocated are overdemanded and consider the reasons for the existence of such markets. After a presentation of the literature review, the authors present a model which includes serial dictatorships, reservation prices and priority ordering, before providing insights on the application of the model to real-life situations such as healthcare markets.
