Applications of graph spectra in quantum physics (English)

The author surveys the results on the existence of perfect state transfer in uniformly coupled spin networks, which received a lot of attention recently in quantum physics. It can be modelled by an underlying graph, with the Hamiltonian of such a system approximated by the adjacency matrix of that graph, and the energy levels and states represented by the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of the adjacency matrix. Consequences of perfect state transfer on relations between vertices and eigenvalue ratio condition are also investigated.NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 1206.05004].
