Inductive McKay condition in defining characteristic. (English)

In this paper, the author reformulates the inductive McKay condition, of \textit{I. M. Isaacs, G. Malle} and \textit{G. Navarro}, [Invent. Math. 170, No. 1, 33-101 (2007; Zbl 1138.20010)], and applies the new criterion to simple groups of Lie type, when the prime is the defining characteristic \(p\). Using a recent result of \textit{J. Maslowski}, [Equivariant character bijections in groups of Lie type. Dissertation, TU Kaiserslautern (2010)], he obtains that these simple groups satisfy the inductive McKay condition for \(p\). In the non-simply laced types and exceptional types, this reproves earlier results by \textit{O. Brunat}, [Math. Z. 263, No. 2, 411-424 (2009; Zbl 1186.20014)], and \textit{O. Brunat} and \textit{F. Himstedt}, [J. Algebra 334, No. 1, 150-174 (2011; Zbl 1252.20009)].
