The following singular fourth-order four-point \(p\)-Laplacian boundary value problem is considered \[ [\varphi_p(u''(t))]''=f(t,u(t)),\;t\in(0,1), \] \[ u(0)=0,\;u(1)=au(\xi),\;u''(0)=0,\;u''(1)=bu''(\eta), \] where \(\varphi_p(t)=|t|^{p-2}t\), \(p>1\), \(0<\xi\), \(\eta<1\), \(0\leq a<1/\xi\), \(0\leq b^{p-1}<1/\eta\), and \(f(t,x)\) is singular at \(t=0\), \(t=1\) and \(x=0\), in fact, \(f\in C((0,1)\times (0,\infty),[0,\infty))\) is nonincreasing in \(x\) with \[ 0<\int^1_0H(s,s)f(s,\lambda s(1-s))ds<\infty \] for any constant \(\lambda>0\) and \[ H(t,s)=\begin{cases} s\in[0,\eta]:\begin{cases}\frac{t}{1-b^{p-1}\eta}[(1-s)-b^{p-1}(\eta-s)],\quad t\leq s,\\ \frac{s}{1-b^{p-1}\eta}[(1-t)-b^{p-1}(\eta-t)],\quad s\leq t,\end{cases}\\ s\in[\eta,1]:\begin{cases} \frac{t}{1-b^{p-1}\eta}(1-s),\quad\quad\quad\quad\quad\quad\quad\; t\leq s,\\ \frac{1}{1-b^{p-1}\eta}[s(1-t)+b^{p-1}\eta(t-s)], s\leq t.\end{cases}\end{cases} \] Under these assumptions, using a fixed point theorem for maps that are decreasing with respect to a cone in a Banach space, the authors show that the considered problem has a unique solution \(u\in C^2[0,1]\) with \(\varphi_p(u'')\in C^2(0,1)\cap C[0,1]\) and \(u(t)>0\) on \((0,1)\).
