In this paper, the authors prove that the compactness of radial operators is equivalent to the vanishing of the Berezin transform on the sphere. Furthermore, the authors study a special class of radial operators, i.e., Toeplitz operators with a radial \(L^1(\mathbf B_n)\) symbol.
