The Howland-Kato Commutator Problem II

From MaRDI portal

Abstract: We continue the search, begun by Kato, for all pairs of real, bounded, measurable functions f,g that result in a positive commutator [if(P),g(Q)]. We prove a number of partial results including a connection with Loewner's celebrated theorem on matrix monotone functions.
