The commuting algebra
From MaRDI portal
Abstract: Let be a path algebra, where is a finite quiver and is a field. We study where is the two-sided ideal in generated by all differences of parallel paths in . We show that is always finite dimensional and its global dimension is finite. Furthermore, we prove that is Morita equivalent to an incidence algebra. The paper starts with the more general setting, where is replaced by with a two-sided ideal in .
