Total soil nitrogen supply equation
From MaRDI portal
Description
This equation computes the total nitrogen supply available to the crop by summing the layer-specific nitrogen supply rates. It represents the total nitrogen that could be taken up by mass flow on a given day. The result serves as an intermediate quantity used to compare soil nitrogen availability with crop nitrogen demand. It links soil-layer processes to whole-plant nitrogen uptake.
