Two applications of free entropy

Abstract: Using Voiculsecu's free entropy, it is shown that the free group factors L(F_n) lack property C of Popa and that they lack finite multiplicity abelian subalgebras. Property C is an assymptotic commutivity property.
The author proves two results for the free group factors \(L(F_n)\), \(n\geq 2\). He shows that they do not have property \(C\) and that they contain no Abelian subalgebra of finite multiplicity.
