A software package (available from the authors) for solving systems of differential equations with delays is described. The underlying methods used are Runge-Kutta methods, with an interpolation capacity, derived by \textit{D. Sarafyan} [cf. Comput. Math. Appl. 20, No. 1, 77-100 (1990; Zbl 0702.65069)]. Much of the theoretical and implementation is concerned with the problem of discontinuities. Convergence results are stated assuming that points of derivative discontinuity are included in the mesh. The software is designed to achieve this. The problems associated with neutral equations are also considered. The software can handle such problems, provided the number of jump points is not too large. Some illustrative computations demonstrate the improvement in efficiency and accuracy that can be obtained from this approach. The software also deals with general root-finding problems.
