This article deals with some nonlinear versions of well-known results on the \(m\)-accretiveness property for the sum \(A_ 1+A_ 2\) of two \(m\)- accretive linear operators \(A_ 1\) and \(A_ 2\) in Hilbert spaces if the Yosida approximations to these operators either commute or form an acute angle. The main result of this article is some generalization of these results to the case when \(A_ 1\) is a linear \(m\)-accretive operator and \(A_ 1\) is a maximal monotone operator. As a corollary, some solvability theorems and their applications to quasilinear elliptic systems are given.
