The stationary version of the inhomogeneous Burgers equation, \[ (\vec u\cdot\nabla)\vec u=\nabla^ 2\vec u+F(\vec x), \leqno (1) \] for the \(n\)-dimensional vector \(\vec u\) in the \(n\)-dimensional space is considered with the boundary condition \(\vec u\mid_{\Gamma}=0\) at the boundary \(\Gamma\) of some region \(\Omega\in R^ n\). Using the variational representation of the boundary value problem based on equation (1) with the above-mentioned boundary condition, the existence of solutions of this problem is proved for \(n\leq 4\). The technique developed may be as well applied to some equations with a nonlinearity of a more general form.
