    In this short note the author generalizes some ideas and results of a three-dimensional elasticity theory to \(n\)-dimensional elasticity problems. For this, he introduces \(n\)-dimensional displacement vector and \(n\times n\) stress and strain tensors. Furthermore, he introduces a linear constitutive relation between stress and strain tensors and studies the \(n\)-dimensional compatibility conditions, the conditions for strong solution, the uniqueness of solutions and some related problems on nonlinear elasticity. This work is nothing but the generalization of ideas and results of three-dimensional elasticity theory to \(n\)-dimensional case. Everything is straightforward, nothing new. Nevertheless it might have some value to applied mathematicians.
