A subset \(A\) of a topological space is called an sglc\(^*\)-set (resp. an sglc\(^{**}\)-set) if there exists an sg-open set (resp. an open set) \(U\) and a closed set (resp. an sg-closed set) \(F\) such that \(A=U\cap F\). The authors introduce these new notions and study their basic properties as well as the corresponding notions of generalized continuity.
