The authors develop numerical algorithms for continuation of degenerate homoclinic orbits to non-hyperbolic equilibria in plane systems. The first situation corresponds to a saddle-node equilibrium (a zero eigenvalue), and the second one is the so-called cuspidal loop (a double-zero eigenvalue). The methods proposed deal with codimension-two and codimension-three homoclinic connections. Applications of the algorithms to several examples support their validity and demonstrate their usefulness.
