Let \(p\) be a prime number not dividing the natural number \(a>1\). The order \(\text{ord}_p q\) is defined by the least positive \(\gamma\) with \(a^\gamma\equiv 1\pmod p\). The author [Acta Arith. 34, 183-196 (1978; Zbl 0373.10029)] has proved an asymptotic formula for the number of primes \(p\) for which \(q^r|\text{ord}_p a\), where \(q\) is fixed prime. In this paper \(q\) is replaced by a natural number \(n\).
