The authors study the convergence of a numerical scheme for weak entropy solutions for \(N\times N\) systems of conservations laws \(u_t+f(u)_x=0\), which is based on the semilinear relaxation approximation of the form: \(u_t+v_x=0\), \(v_t+a^2u_x=\varepsilon ^{-1}(f(u)-v)\).
