\textit{Ganesh Prasad} hat 1930 (F. d. M. \(56_{\text{II}}\), 996) nachgewiesen, daß die \textit{Legendre}shen Funktionen \(Q_n(\mu)\) nicht immer ein Orthogonalsystem bilden, im Gegensatze zu \textit{Nicholson} (Philos. Magazine (6) 43 (1922), 1-29). Verf. weist nach, daß der \textit{Nicholson}sche Beweis einen Fehler enthält.
