Let M be a compact quaternionic Kähler manifold, and p: \(Z\to M\) the associated twistor space. The main result of this paper is a theorem showing that p induces an embedding of the moduli space of \(B_ 2\)- connections over M as a real submanifold of the moduli space of Einstein- Hermitian connections over Z. For more on this notation, see \textit{S. M. Salamon} [Invent. Math. 67, 143-171 (1982; Zbl 0486.53048)]. This generalizes a result of \textit{R. Hartshorne} [Commun. Math. Phys. 59, 1-15 (1978; Zbl 0383.14006)], which used twistor theory to obtain the Atiyah- Hitchin-Singer result determining the moduli space of instantons on \(S^ 4\).
