The authors study the asymptotic behavior as \(t\to \infty\) of solutions to the abstract Volterra equation \(u(t)+\int^{t}_{0}b(t- s)(Au(s)+g(s)u(s))ds\ni f(t),\quad t\geq 0,\) where b is a completely positive kernel, A is an m-accertive operator in a real Banach space and g is a real-valued function. One example of the results that the authors establish is that under certain assumptions \(\lim_{t\to \infty}\| u(t)\| [\int^{t}_{0}R(t,s)ds]^{-1}=d(0,R(A)),\) where \(R(t,s)=1- \int^{t}_{\delta}r(t,\tau)d\tau,\) r(t,s) is the resolvent of \(k(t- s)+g(s),\) and \(b(t)+\int^{t}_{0}b(t-s)k(s)ds=1\).
