The authors derive and discuss a spherically symmetric solution to Einstein's field equation where the source is a dust plus a frozen magnetic field. In addition to the Killing vector fields associated with spherical symmetry there is another Killing vector field so that the metric becomes spatially homogeneous. It is thus of the Kantowski-Sachs class and can be interpreted as a cosmological model. The authors find that, in the case of non-vanishing magnetic field, there is a pancake initial singularity and a pancake final singularity. Solutions with this property do not exist without a magnetic field.
