Let P be a rotation free density on \(\Omega\): \(0<| z| <1\), i.e. a nonnegative locally Hölder continuous function on \(\{0<| z| \leq 1\}\) with \(P(z)=P(| z|)\) and \(e_ n\) \((n=0,1)\) the \(P_ n\)-unit \((P_ n(z)=P(z)+n^ 2/| z|^{-2})\), i.e. the unique bounded solution of the equation \[ d^ 2\phi (r)/dr^ 2+(1/r)(d\phi (r)/dr)- P_ n(r)\phi (r)=0\quad on\quad \{0<r<1\} \] with boundary values \(e_ n(1)=1\). In this paper the Martin compactification \((\Omega^+)^*_ P\) of the half disk \(\Omega^+=\{| z| <1\), Im z\(>0\}\) with respect to the elliptic equation \(\Delta u=Pu\) is determined in terms of the singularity index \(\alpha (P)=\lim_{r\to 0}e_ 1(r)/e_ 0(r):\) \[ (\Omega^+)^*_ P\quad is\quad \hom eomorphic\quad to\quad \bar D^+(\alpha (P))=\{\alpha (P)\leq | z| \leq 1,\quad Im z\geq 0\}, \] i.e. the homeomorphism \(\pi^+_ P(z)=(\alpha (P)+(1-\alpha (P))| z|)z/| z|\) from \(\Omega^+\) to \(D^+(\alpha (P))=\{\alpha (P)<| z| <1\), Im z\(>0\}\) can be extended to a homeomorphism from \((\Omega^+)^*_ P\) to \(\bar D{}^+(\alpha (P)).\) The Martin compactification \((\Omega_{\theta})^*_ P\) of \(\Omega_{\theta}=\{0<| z| <1\), \(0<\arg z<\theta \}\) is also determined.
